Chapel Hill, NC - Greensboro's own P.J. Hairston and Leslie McDonald will not play against Holy Cross on Friday.
The University of North Carolina announced at its news conference on Thursday that each player will not play until the NCAA is finished with its investigation into both receiving improper benefits.
"It is what it is, so we just go with it, and do the best we can," said head coach Roy Williams on Thursday.
"I think everybody feels for them. They've been great teammates through all of this," Williams stated. "They've been wonderful in practice, been quality teammates everyday, but I think everybody feels for them right now."
This is the 2nd game both McDonald and Hairston have sat on the bench.
J.P. Tokoto is expected to start in Hairston's place.
