UNC released its 2016-2017 men's basketball schedule Monday. After falling in the national championship game at the end of last season, UNC will look to repeat as ACC champions and make another NCAA Tournament run with key returnees like Kennedy Meeks, Justin Jackson, Joel Berry and Isaiah Hicks. Head coach Roy Williams returns for his 14th season in Chapel Hill with 783 career wins.
The Tar Heels will play in the Maui Invitational Tournament for the first time since 2012. The Tournament will feature Connecticut, Oklahoma State, Georgetown, Oregon, Tennessee and Wisconsin. UNC last won the Invitational in 2008.
Late Night With Roy, a celebration of the beginning of the season, is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 14.
