BROOKLYN, NY -- Former Wesleyan Christian Academy and Duke University forward Harry Giles is heading to the NBA.
Giles was selected by the Kings with the 20th pick in the 2017 NBA Draft, which they acquired along with the 15th pick from Portland in exchange for the 10th pick.
Giles was the number one recruit out of high school, but has fallen down the draft board as a result of two torn ACLs and one other knee procedure, which has robbed his athleticism. He never looked right during his time at Duke, but the Kings might be in a position where they feel like a swing for the fences is appropriate. He'll join the raw frontcourt of Skal Labissiere, Willie Cauley-Stein and Georgios Papagiannis.
