Jared Rolfes Named Head Football Coach at NW Guilford

Greensboro, N.C.--Jared Rolfes has been named the new head varsity football coach at Northwest Guilford High School. He replaces Joe Woodruff, who is leaving Northwest to take the head football coaching position at Big Rapids High School in Michigan.

During the 2013 season, Coach Rolfes served as the offensive coordinator for 3AA football power Northern Guilford High School. For the previous five seasons, he was the head coach of his high school alma mater at Celina High School in Celina, Ohio. At Celina, Coach Rolfes took over a football program that traditionally struggled to win and led them to their first winning season in ten years in 2010. In 2012 Celina went 7-3, which was the best performance for the Celina football team since the 1998, and was undefeated at home for the first time since 1995. During the five year period that Coach Rolfes was head coach at Celina, many long standing records were broken, integrity and character became the foundation of the program, and program stability has been maintained even since his departure.

Before taking over at Celina, Jared served as an assistant football coach at Waubonsie High School in Aurora, Illinois along with coaching stints at West Jefferson High School in West Jefferson, Ohio and Leo High School in Leo, Indiana. He is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and received his masters in Educational Leadership and Administration at Bowling Green University.
