CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Hornets introduced their 1st round draft picks to the media Friday.
Both the #9 pick Noah Vonleh and #26th pick P.J. Hairston arrived at the Time Warner Cable Arena to be introduced to the media.
The two held up Hornets jerseys and posed for pictures.
"I had a chance to start over in the D league and that kind of put my three months ahead of everyone else. I was able to get used to the professional lifestyle," Hairston told the media.
P.J. was initially taken 26th overall by the Miami Heat, who were really drafting for the Hornets because of a trade deal.
Hairston is a Greensboro native and Dudley High School star. After that, P.J. was a standout for the Tarheels. He averaged ten points per game for Carolina before being kicked off the team and spending most of last season in the N-B-A developmental league.
"I think I've matured a lot, I fully regret everything that happen, of course, but like I said, I feel like my future is what's important now, and that's hat I'm looking forward to," added Hairston.
