Charlotte, NC - The Carolina Panthers have signed 2014 second-round draft choice (60th overall) defensive end Kony Ealy, the team announced Thursday.
Ealy played in 38 games with 25 starts at Missouri, entering the NFL following his junior season. He produced 93 tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss, 14 sacks, 19 quarterback pressures, four forced fumbles, one fumble recovery, one interception and 13 passes defensed.
In his final season at Missouri in 2013, Ealy earned first-team All-Southeastern Conference honors after starting 14 games and ranking second on the Tigers with 9.5 sacks and 14.5 tackles for loss while pacing the team with 14 quarterback pressures. He returned his only interception 49 yards for a touchdown.
