Tar Heels Baseball's Opening Weekend Moved To Charleston

CHAPEL HILL --- Due to extreme winter weather in Chapel Hill, the North Carolina baseball team will open its 2014 season Saturday, Feb. 15, at the College of Charleston.

The Tar Heels and Cougars will play Saturday at 2 p.m., Sunday at 2 p.m., and Monday at 1 p.m., at Patriots Point in Mount Pleasant, S.C. Fans with tickets for this weekend's games at Boshamer Stadium can exchange them for tickets to any remaining regular season home game, based on availability.

Tickets for this weekend will be available for purchase through the CofC Ticket Office at 843-953-COFC beginning at noon Thursday or at the Patriots Point ticket office on game day. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for youth.

Saturday's opener will feature UNC junior right-hander Benton Moss facing off against Charleston sophomore righty Nathan Helvey.
