That mean's Jeopardy will air early Friday morning at 1:50 a.m.

The Panthers are 4-1 as they go up against the Eagles with the same record.

Cam Newton posted back-to-back 300-yard passing games for the first time since the first two games of his career, after the Panthers topped the Detroit Lions on the road.

It's a string of two impressive outings for the Panthers offense recently defeating the Patriots in Foxborough (week 4), and now the Lions. The Panthers return home and the opponent doesn't get any easier, as they will host the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football.

Newton will go head to head against Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz, who is fresh off a 304 yard, 4 passing touchdown performance against the Arizona Cardinals.

This matchup Thursday night could be a playoff preview in the months ahead, but in the meantime, the Panthers are focused on winning each week.

"There's still a lot to work on," said Panthers rookie running back Christian McCaffrey, who had his first NFL touchdown on Sunday. "Every day is about finding a way to get better. The positive thing is we're 4-1 and we know we can be a lot better."

The Panthers have found a way to stack 2 solid games in a row, but now are facing another challenge in a team just as hot. One of the keys to the fifth win of the season will be discipline on both sides of the ball.

Carolina came into week 4 as the least penalized team in the NFL but looked the opposite early on, racking up seven penalties before Detroit had even one, 16 or so minutes into the game.

Penalties or not, it's all about finding a way for the Panthers. They have shown the team is capable early in the season, but now it's time to prove this NFC team is similar to the one back 2015, and it all continues Thursday night.
