The Carolina Panthers have issued a statement regarding the possibility of moving a home game this weekend in light of violent protests that gripped the city Wednesday night.
Carolina is scheduled to play Minnesota at 1 p.m. Sunday. Panthers officials say they're in contact with police, city officials and the NFL to determine the best plan of action.
The Panthers' official twitter account released the following statement from President Danny Morrison.
UPDATE: At 12:40 p.m. Thursday, the NFL tweeted that the game is scheduled to be played on Sunday at its normal time. The league is still monitoring the situation closely.
