CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Panthers coach Ron Rivera says Carolina's 38-0 win Sunday over the New York Giants could serve as a "catalyst" for his team as it looks to rebound from a disappointing 0-2 start.
Rivera says "you look for something that can be a hallmark game, a game that everyone points to and says 'Wow, that's the one that got things rolling.
'"There certainly is that potential. Not only is the team's confidence soaring after the most lopsided win in franchise history, but the Panthers have a seemingly navigable schedule ahead.
Following this week's bye the Panthers will face Arizona (1-2), Minnesota (0-3), St. Louis (1-2) and Tampa Bay (0-3).
In fact, the Panthers don't play a team with a winning record until they host New England on Nov. 18.
