Thousands In Greensboro For New Balance Nationals

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Olympians of tomorrow could get their starts right here in the Triad.

More than 4,000 high school track and field athletes are in Greensboro this weekend for the 2014 New Balance Nationals Outdoor meet. The meet attracts athletes from as far away as Alaska to compete in one of the nation's largest meets of its kind.

The three-day competition concludes Sunday with a host of championship events.

This is the meet's 10th year at Aggie Stadium in Greensboro.

Race festivities will wrap up at 3:30. The event is taking place at Aggie Stadium at the corner of Lindsay and Sullivan Streets in Greensboro. Admission is $15 dollars for adults, and free for children younger than 10.
