GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Thousands of people are visiting Greensboro this weekend, and that's not just including visitors for the ACC baseball tournament.
Sunday was the second day of the 35th annual Wrangler/McDonald's Youth Soccer Tournament at Bryan Park.
More than 300 teams from seven states are in the area for the competition, and with them comes a lot of money.
"This is huge for the city," said Gary Gartner, tournament director. "With us having over 2,000 hotel rooms, it's a a huge economic impact. It's exciting for the city of Greensboro."
Gartner says Greensboro is a prime location because Bryan Park has 17 full-size Bermuda grass fields.
The tournament is using six facilities across the Piedmont, and nearly 4,000 athletes from the U-8 to U-18 leagues are competing this weekend.
