Tiger Woods Announces Return To Competitive Golf

After nine months away from competitive golf, Tiger Woods will return at the Hero World Challenge, the event his foundation hosts.

The tournament is Nov. 30-Dec. 3 in Albany, Bahamas. Woods has won the event five times.

“I am excited to return to competitive golf at the Hero World Challenge,” Woods said in a statement. “Albany is the perfect setting and it will be great to join this outstanding field."

Woods has not played since he withdrew from the Dubai Desert Classic on Feb. 3 because of back spasms.

Last week Woods pleaded guilty to reckless driving at a hearing in Palm Beach County, Fla. He was arrested in May when police found him unconscious in his Mercedes. A toxicology report later showed he had prescription drugs and marijuana in his system.
