Casey Kasem has died at age 82.
Casey's daughter, Kerri, confirmed the news Sunday morning on her Facebook page.
"Early this Father's Day morning, our dad Casey Kasem passed away surrounded by family and friends. Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken. Thank you for all your love, support and prayers. The world will miss Casey Kasem, an incredible talent and humanitarian; we will miss our Dad.
With love, Kerri, Mike and Julie."
Casey suffered from advanced Parkinson's disease and was unable to speak.
Casey's three children feuded with their stepmother, Jean, over his healthcare. In May, a judge ordered an investigation into Casey's whereabouts after he was removed from a Los Angeles facility without his kids' knowledge. They found Casey several days later in Washington state.
Casey was best known for hosting the "American Top 40 Countdown" and was the voice of Shaggy in the cartoon "Scooby Doo".
