Marriage and relationship expert Jill White-Huffman says there is one key to having a successful relationship. "Commitment is a Decision" that the two of you must make with one another. It requires a deep commitment to grow towards each other, keep promises, be truthful/loyal and avoid comparing your relationship to other relationships.
Love month can't be the only time you pay attention to your spouse or significant other. Jill White-Huffman has tips on keeping your relationship strong.
Does it look like your spouse/partner is not paying you any attention when you talk to him/her? Huffman says listening takes practice. It is always a wise idea to set aside 15-30 minutes each day to talk to each other. If you will make a decision to allow this to happen, your partner will feel he/she is being heard and they are likely to communicate openly and honestly.
Is there ever a time when it is too late to work on restoring and repairing your relationship? Huffman says no. The Love Hormone is called oxytocin. It can be created no matter what age group. Our brains are wired to create/develop oxytocin so it is never too late. We are all capable of learning how to rewire our own and our partner's love patterns.
