KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- Local high school students are using their voices to represent the Triad in our nation's capital this weekend.

The choirs at Glenn High School have a weekend full of events scheduled in Washington, D.C., but one event in particular stands out.

Sunday, the students will sing at the Washington National Cathedral. have been invited to sing the 30-minute prelude to the Cathedral's Evensong service. The students will perform at 3:30 p.m.

And, as if performing on one of the nation's biggest stages isn't enough, the students have already enjoyed a weekend full of events.

Along with monument tours and restaurants, the students also competed in the Heritage Music Festival and represented our area well. Chorus teacher Carol Earnhardt told WFMY News 2 the students won top honors in every category they entered.
