Greensboro, NC -- Local paramedics, firefighters and police officers are squaring off for in another blood donation challenge.

Local heroes are squaring off in another blood donation challenge.

With March being Red Cross Month, it's a great time give blood and save a life. Our local heroes know the importance of donating blood.

Chris Wilson, the training supervisor of the Guilford County EMS, Officer E-Y Watkins of the Greensboro Police Department and Battalion Chief Pete Addertion of the Greensboro Fire Department talked about the challenge on the Saturday Good Morning Show. You can the cause for donating blood to the American Red Cross starting on Monday, March 24, 2014 with the Greensboro EMS, fire department and police department. The challenge runs through next Saturday, March 29, 2014 and that's when we'll learn which agency got the most people to donate blood.

You can stop by the Nussbaum Blood Center and day next week starting on Monday. The address is 1501 Yanceyville Street in Greensboro. You can also call 1-800-RedCross or go to red crossblood.org to make an appointment.
