GREENSBORO -- In my continued search to save you time and money, today I get you paid to buy many of the groceries you're already purchasing. It all starts with one of my favorite free apps, but before we get to that, let's start with the best grocery deal today.
As I like to do every Friday, I flag the best grocery deal in our region. Today my favorite deal is a large four pack of four hugely popular and award-winning BBQ Sauces. Watch my break-down of this deal in this quick Youtube Video.

Now for my favorite app! Checkout 51 is a brilliant app created by a Harvard Business grad and two other entrepreneurs. The free app which is available through the iTunes Store and on Android devices will essentially pay you to shop for groceries. How does it work?
1.Download "Checkout 51"and browse the constantly changing list of featured groceries . Every Thursday this list of items is updated but includes non-brand and brand name items you can purchase at any grocery store of your choice. For example, last week "buy any type of bread, get $2 paid to you." Today: "buy any two 'Dragon products, get $2 paid to you."
2. Go to any grocery store of your choice and buy any items from the Checkout51 list and you'll get paid for buying those products.
3. Upload a photo of your receipt, showing that you bought a product suggested by Checkout51. Once your cash-back total on eligible products reaches $20, you will be mailed a check. This fully legit app will quickly put money in your pocket, just as it has for us in our tests. Whether you're buying cereal, milk, bread, pickles, candles, fruit, chips or some other staple, the pay-outs add up quickly.
