LITTLE ROCK, Ark.-- Little Rock Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred at a convenience store on the city's southwest side.
Police told THV11 that 15-year-old female, identified as Adrian Broadway, died from her injuries at a local hospital after she was shot at a Kum & Go on Baseline Road just before 1 a.m. Saturday. Willie Noble, 48, has been arrested in connection with the shooting.
Officers said Broadway and six others were found in a white Hyundai Sonata parked in front of the business with a shattered window and a bullet hole in the driver's side door. Broadway was unresponsive, and the driver had a minor cut to his hand from broken glass.
The victims told police they had done a prank at the Noble's home when he ran out of the house and started shooting at the vehicle, according to the police report. Officers told THV11 staff that the teens drove down the 7200 block of Skylark Drive and dumped leaves and other trash on a car there; that's when Noble came out firing.
The Sonota's driver managed to get to the Kum & Go a short distance away to get help.
Lieutenant Sidney Allen said this was all the result of a prank that happened three months ago.
"Apparently Mr. Noble's teenage son had done a prank on some of the kids that were inside the vehicle on Halloween Night. As a result they were doing a retaliation prank and it ultimately had deadly results," Allen explained.
Noble has been charged with first-degree murder, one count of terroristic acts, and five counts of aggravated assault.
In addition to Broadway and the 18-year-old driver, one 17-year-old, four 15 year-olds, and on 14-year-old were in the car at the time of the shooting.
