ASHEBORO, N.C. – The second suspect in a shooting Wednesday at an Asheboro convenience store has turned himself in to the police department.
Nineteen-year-old Ondra Gladden Jr. is in jail under a $250,000 bond. Both he and Derrell Jones, 20, are charged with Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill and Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon. A magistrate set Jones' bond at $500,000.
On Wednesday, shortly after 5:30 p.m., officers found a man shot in the leg at the C-Store at 401 E. Salisbury St. EMS took the man to an area hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested Jones following the shooting.
