BIG BROTHER returns to CBS and you can watch all the twists and turns right here on WFMY News 2.
With season 16 comes a contestant from Albemarle, NC. Meet Donny Thompson who works as a school groundskeeper. The 42-year-old describes himself as honest, funny, and witty. He loves to work, eat, and watch TV. He says the most difficult part for him about living inside the Big Brother house is learning to live with a large group of people since he's lived alone for more than 21 years.
But this season the houseguests will live in an Urban Tree House themed dwelling. But there will be plenty of twists including two houseguests who will win the coveted role of "Head of Household" each week. It will come with special privileges. They'll also have to nominate two fellow houseguest for eviction each week. But for the first time ever, earning the title will not guarantee one's safety in the game for the week.
BIG BROTHER asked Thompson his strategy for winning the game he said, "Lay low in the beginning, befriend all, constantly observe others, and make wise decisions on who I align with."
But he'll need to earn the trust of fans because another twist includes letting them significantly influence the game from home with a new interactive element called "Team America."
But that's not all this season BIG BROTHER will introduce a new high-stakes competition, "Battle of the Block" which will shift the power in the house each week.
Thompson said he can relate most to former BIG BROTHER cast member Spencer because he was nominated so many times without going home
When asked what Thompson would like to take into the house he replied, "My favorite pair of overhauls, my favorite hat, and chewing tobacco.
He's most afraid of heights, mice, and public speaking.
