GREENSBORO, NC -- This 2WTK question came from inside the building. Julie Luck had all a set of pots and pans that couldn't be donated because the Teflon coating was scratched and coming off.

Can pots and pans be recycled? The answer is, Yes! Several cities and counties take them, but if yours doesn't, other recycling companies do. Check out Earth911. You can put in whatever item it is you want to recycle, like pots and pans, put in your zip code and the website brings up a list of places that accept whatever it is you want to donate. It's probably worth a phone call to make sure the site doesn't have any other stipulations.

The cities of Greensboro and High Point take them and you can put the cookware right in your recycle bin. The city of Winston-Salem does not accept cookware.
