For a year now, 2 Wants To Know has told you about the food stamp benefit backlog, statewide and in the Triad. Guilford County Social Services has had major issues with families waiting months for food stamps.
Now the county commissioners will merge social services with the health department. They are looking at this to improve services, reduce spending and change the relationship between the commissioners and the department.
