The ban would include e-cigarettes, and would mean there'd be no smoking around county government buildings or parks.

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, NC -- North Carolina produces more tobacco than any other state, but more and more counties are taking measures to limit where you can smoke. Case in point, the recommendation Mecklenburg County Commissioners are hearing tonight.

It would ban smoking outside all government buildings and ban all tobacco use, including chewed, dipped, and e-cigarettes, in county parks, greenways, and county-owned golf courses.

But if they passed this ban, they wouldn't be the first county in the state to do it!

Take a look at this.

Right now, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services said there are 13 counties with tobacco free or smoke free government grounds and parks.
