Triad -- Get ready to make up cancelled school days.

The Piedmont's largest school systems, Guilford County and Winston Salem Forsyth have already cancelled classes for Wednesday because of the winter storm headed our way. Many others are closed or delayed.

It looks like most Triad schools will be closed Wednesday and many will likely stay that way into Thursday. Guilford County Schools students will get to stay home tomorrow, but a makeup day is probably coming soon.

They'll add it to a makeup schedule that keeps getting longer. Students must make up past snow days on Monday, March 31st and Wednesday, June 11th - one day past the original last day of school.

It's a similar story at several other districts. To make up those days, some districts will hold classes on Saturday, while others are turning teacher planning days into actual school days.

Winston-Salem Forsyth County already announced Monday, April 21st as their makeup day for missing classes on Wednesday.
