GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Many non-profits in the Triad helped people sign up for health insurance at Elon Law School on Saturday.

Get Covered America, Cone Health Foundation, Legal Aid of North Carolina, and United Way of Greensboro were just some of the organizations on hand to help people enroll online.

Mark Van Arnam with Enroll America told WFMY News 2 that he believes many North Carolinians are unaware of how available financial assistance is. He says his mission is to make sure as many people as possible meet the health care deadline on March 31.

If you missed today's assistance, Arnam says you can call the toll-free NC scheduling hotline at 855-733-3711 during business hours Monday to Friday to set up an appointment.

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, 90 percent of more than 160,000 North Carolinians who enrolled in quality health coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace as of February 1 will receive financial assistance to pay for premiums.
