GREENSBORO, N.C. - As thousands of fans flock to the Coliseum to see games in person, millions of other fans simply turn on the TV. Behind the scenes, there's a ton of working going on that you don't see to put on a TV broadcast of a live college hoops game.
Raycom Sports is producing the telecasts that you can see right here on WFMY News 2. It all starts out in the truck bay. A huge production truck and a satellite uplink are the central command centers for the broadcast.
Inside there's audio technology, video playbacks and the producer and director, and tons of monitors. Then you hit the court where eight different camera locations are set up to bring you all the best angles from the Coliseum.
Overall, Raycom has more than 60 staff members working during the ACC Tournament.
