HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Road crews in High Point are still trying to clean up from last week's storm but their efforts were halted on Monday, when another winter storm hit the area.
Road crews were called off debris clean-up and put on snow patrol on Monday afternoon.
Crews are salting areas where it's needed - mainly the bridges and overpasses.
The city's Director of Public Services says this weather has is wearing down the city's resources and staff.
"We've had several events back to back so to speak, and pretty much our personnel have been working around the clock really almost 14 to 15 days straight now," said Terry Houk, Director, Public Services, City of High Point.
As long as the roads stay icy, crews in High Point will continue to work. There are 8 teams out salting the roads who are working around the clock.
Once this storm moves through - these crews will go back to storm debris clean-up.
