ADVANCE, N.C. -- The pilot of a small airplane is recovering from her injuries after she survived a crash Sunday morning, according to Davie County Emergency Management.
Dispatchers received a call about the crash in the 400 block of Rainbow Road at 9:30 a.m. When first responders arrived, they found the pilot conscious and oriented.
The plane landed in a cow field. The crash caused damage to the plane's right wing.
Officials say the pilot told them the power to the plane died mid-flight.
On Monday, the NTSB and FAA will investigate the crash.
