GREENSBORO, N.C. - Greensboro's mayor took the fight for three million dollars in city tax money to Raleigh Wednesday.
Mayor Nancy Vaughan said the city is "frustrated," after state lawmakers decided to end a big business tax.
"Certainly we let them know how we feel and we hope that they'll support the city and municipalities and give us the tools that we need to be a success," she said.
The Tax Foundation ranks North Carolina as the 44th worst state for business taxes. Some lawmakers say cutting taxes could help draw in bigger business projects and more jobs.
