ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. -- More than 160 students are in Rockingham County Saturday getting ready for a very busy week.
They're known as World Changers and they're a part of a much larger group that travels all over the country to fix standard housing. While they are here, 16 different groups will go out into the community and complete projects ranging from insulation work to painting for people who need it.
Students are sharing their service and their message.
"God loves us and we're suppose to love our neighbors," Micah Birdsong, with World Changers said. "So that's what we're here to do."
Students are turning classrooms at Rockingham County High School into their bedrooms while they're here this week.
The group will be here all week and then head to Franklin, North Carolina. From there they are on to Georgia.
This is the fourth year World Changers has come to Rockingham County to help fix houses.
