GREENSBORO, N.C. – Lanes are back open and power has been restored in the downtown area after a car hit a power pole.

Greensboro Police said the crash happened around 2:45 p.m. at the intersection of North Spring Street at West Friendly. Minor injuries were reported.

The area was blocked off for about 4 hours and some businesses in the area were without power. Officers said Duke Energy restored power about 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Officers said lines are hanging low to the ground and traffic was being diverted for one block.

The Central Library and the Greensboro Historical Museum were without power for a couple hours as a result.
