WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Winston-Salem Police say a woman failed to yield at a stoplight and hit a patrol car early Saturday morning.
Officers tell WFMY News 2 Carla Cherney Tolbert, 62, of Winston-Salem failed to yield the right of way at 6th Street at Liberty Street and collided with a police car at 1:22 a.m.
Officers J. Rivera and C. Burbank were off-duty and the collision sent their car partially onto the sidewalk. They were both taken to Forsyth Hospital and Cherney was taken to Baptist Hospital. All were released after being treated for minor injuries.
Police said their investigation indicated Cherney was responsible for the accident and she was cited for Failing To Yield Right of Way.
