ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. -- Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page will get an opportunity to assess the border security issues firsthand.

Sheriff Page will travel to McAllen, Texas and join a group of Sheriffs across the nation for a two day trip. The trip comes as thousands of illegal immigrants continue to enter the borders with children. Sheriff's across the nation are concerned about potential threat it poses in their own states and local communities.

Sheriff Page said, "This is a fact-finding mission and an opportunity to view the very real problems of Human Trafficking, Drug Trafficking, and Border Security at Ground Zero itself." Sheriff Page is the Co-Vice Chair of the National Sheriff's Association Border Security and Immigration Committee.
