(WBIR) -- Gold's Gym announced Monday it has signed a new deal to acquire the Rush Fitness Complex, a regional gym chain that has clubs in the Triad.
The deal is expected to close next month, according to a Gold's Gym news release. As part of the agreement, The Rush Fitness Complex's 23 clubs will be rebranded under the Gold's Gym name. These facilities will remain open throughout the transition, and all existing members will be allowed at the new locations.
These members will also get the chance to use Gold's Gym network in more than 700 locations in 38 states and 28 countries.
David Carney, President and CEO of The Rush said it's an exciting opportunity for Rush employees and members. He also stated in a news release,
"We share a similar operating philosophy with Gold's Gym along with a passion for customer service. Our members and employees will now be part of one of the strongest brands in the industry."
