BURLINGTON, N.C. – The City of Burlington launched an app Monday that allows citizens to submit requests, concerns, and issues to officials.
The City of Burlington has launched a new app for citizens to submit requests and report incidents.
Rachel Hawley, public information officer, told WFMY News 2 the free app 'Burlington Connected' is available on all mobile platforms.
If you want to submit a service request, suspected drug activity, report a street light out, or check out events happening in your area, it's all on the app. The request is then sent directly to the correct department based on the nature of the request. You can also submit your requests online also.
The app is even GPS-integrated, so you can see what requests have been submitted near where you live.
Hawley says since society is moving more into the mobile era, she said the City is able to respond more quickly to citizens' needs.
