Sometimes you just need a break from the scale and this week I thought maybe it's time to get out the measuring tape. So I did, and I let WFMY News 2's Lauren Melvin break outthe tape measure to taking my measurements live on the Good Morning Show. I couldn't believe it when I found out I've lost 12 inches. It's truly incredible to know... I've lost that much since starting "Weigh 2 Go" and my journey to lose 100 lbs. at the end of June.
So far, I've lost 15 pounds as part of my journey and I can't wait to step back onto the scaleduring the Good Morning Show on Thursday October 3, 2013. I hope I can break the 20 lb. mark by then. My overall goal is to lose about 10 lbs. a month doing Weight Watchers. This week I'm focusing on tracking my points because up to this point I've mostly been using portion control.
This is the perfect start to the fall season for me because since starting "Weigh 2 Go" I can look back over the summer months and see how I've hit certain milestones: Walking the Cooper River Bridge, doing the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, Meeting a fan to walk her neighborhood, meeting a fan at one of my Weight Watchers meetings, not giving up on myself, tackling a yellow tube in a river, surviving a family reunion with lots, lots, and lots of food, learning from my mistakes, and forgiving myself for allowing food to have control over my life.
I can't wait to continue along my journey. I hope you'll continue to stay by my side and maybe even find your own journey to a healthier new you. I know it's going to have its ups and downs but I know this weight is going "bye-bye!"I can't wait to smile, to genuinely smile again and live life instead of hiding behind it.
