Being the school's principal is not an easy job. The principal makes sure the school runs according to plan, creates an academic vision, and leads by example.

The Guilford Education Alliance wants to show you what that experience is like. They're asking you to walk a mile in a principal's shoes. They have selected 94 city and community leaders to participate in their "Principal For A Day" program.

Kip Blakely with Timco Aviation participated in the event. He worked as the principal for The Middle College at GTCC and said the experience taught him a lot. With more than 125 students to look over, Kip says, "Man, I couldn't be principal for more than a day. Principal Banks has her plate full. It's amazing what they do."
