There are comforts of home we all take for granted. From sleeping in a bed to turning on the heat to warm our homes to watching television.

Now, imagine having all of those comforts taken away from you and starting over. For hundreds of refugees who come to Greensboro every year, this is their reality. Not only are they in a new world, but had to escape the country in which they once lived because living there was too dangerous.

Cindi Hewitt and Ryan Krumroy from Leadership Greensboro started a project to help ease the transition. They created "Welcome To America" kits that provide basic necessities such as linens and cleaning supplies for our refugee population. They are working to provide $11,000 worth of supplies and need your help.

They are asking for items that are rarely donated such as: shower curtains, waste bins, pillows, sheets, nail clippers, and shampoo. They are also asking for monetary donations.
