Greensboro, N.C. -- School is almost out but learning never ends. That's just part of the WFMY News 2 Good Morning Show's Read 2 Succeed message.

The staff and students at Vandalia Elementary know all about that. "We want kids to read at least 20 minutes a night over the summer so they can continue where they left off before summer break," said Sherry Crosby, one of the school's teachers.

Saturday, June 7, 2014 the school will hold a Reading is Fun Run to promote both summer reading and exercise over the two month break.

"I love to exercise," said Lincoln Crosby, a second grade student at Vandalia Elementary. "I love to jump rope. It's not hard," he added.

"To get kids off the couch we need to make it fun. So we add music and interesting dance moves so they can really get into it," explained Erica Motley of EM Creative Fitness and Wellness.

About a dozen people worked out on the Good Morning Show with news anchor Tracey McCain. Even, Jackie and Lauren joined in.
