GREENSBORO, N.C. -- WFMY News 2 Producer Carrie Hodgin is trying to lose 100 pounds. When you're losing weight, the last thing you want is for your workout routine to feel routine.
The Good Morning Show's Jackie Fernandez took Carrie to try one of her favorite workouts, hot yoga. Hot yoga and Bikram yoga differ from regular yoga because they are done in a room heated to 92 to 105 degrees.
Revolution Hot Yoga in Greensboro offers many different styles of hot yoga classes. One of them is for larger bodies taught by Lisa Moore. Moore says practicing hot yoga has helped her to lose nearly 60 pounds.
"Our emotions are connected to our bodies, and that's why yoga is also good because as you do the poses, I feel like you're using that movement to get rid of things in your body. It just connected my mind, my body, my spirit, everything; and I always say weight loss is kind of a side effect "
