Octagon MMA and Krav Maga is offering Triad teachers free self-defense training in July
Greensboro, N.C. -- Every teacher has a natural desire to protect their students from danger. We saw heroic examples of this in the tragedy at Sandy Hook and in June 2014 during a school shooting in Oregon.
David Stacy, Owner and Trainer of Octagon MMA and Krav Maga is offering all Triad teachers free self-defense training during the month of July.
As a former school teacher, Stacy knows how important it is to be calm and command control of an escalating situation. He says, that's where your training comes in to play.
"When you're in an emergency situation, instinct takes over and the training will help you make life-saving decisions," he said. "You want to be able to recall this information to the point where it's become second nature."
Stacy walked our Good Morning Show viewers through two different scenarios and multiple self-defense techniques that teachers will learn in July. Watch the video included in this story to watch the segment and demonstrations.
"It's a great time for teachers to train since most are on summer vacation," Stacy added. Plus, it's free!
Triad teachers who want to take advantage of this offer should head to www.octagongymgso.com to learn more about the free sessions. If you're not a teacher, no problem. There's a full line up of self-defense classes you can take.
