KERNERSVILLE, N.C. -- If you are looking for a good excuse to take the family out to breakfast, lunch or dinner, look no further!
On Wednesday, August 12 and Wednesday, September 10, you can help teachers and students start the school year on the right foot by eating out.
The Kernersville Chamber of Commerce is hosting a program called "Eating for Education."
The Eating for Education program supports the Education Grants program through the chamber of commerce for Kernersville schools.
Grants cover programs that teachers would either have to pay for out of their pockets or not facilitate due to budgeting.
Several restaurants in Kernersville are participating in the program.
Patrons get a discount when they eat at a participating restaurant and the restaurants donate 10 percent of their proceeds to education grants for teachers in the community.
