GREENSBORO, NC -- This week is all golf all the time. From the pros, to the amateurs, there is certainly talent to watch at the Wyndham.

But that's not the only talent to watch.

At 40 pounds, not quite 3 and a half feet tall, Riley Adkins is working on more than just her short game.

"I'm trying to hit them across the road, all of them," said Riley. "That's why I'm getting a little bit better."

The Stokes County 4-year-old has been perfecting her swing for nearly three years.

"We noticed that she just had a natural swing even at that age. So we just kept practicing with her," said Riley's mother, Heather Adkins.

Adkins said she and her husband, Chris, gave Riley her first set of plastic golf clubs for her first birthday.

Riley said her dad taught her how to play.

"I think I like golf this much. And I like playing this much," she said.

Putting, chipping and driving -- even at 4, Riley understands the pay-off from hard work.

"We hit a lot of golf balls!!"

Riley said she plays every day. And she isn't afraid to share a few pointers.

Riley is consistent and confident, and so are mom and dad.

"When I get a little bit bigger like my Daddy and my Mama, I guess I'll get a little bit better," she said.

Riley's parents said they try to take her to a golf course at least once a week to play.

She's not quite ready for 18 holes, so she just practices a few of them.

But the plan is, in the next couple years, they'll probably try to enter Riley to play in a few tournaments.
