On Saturday, March 29th at 9am. The Human Race will hold its 20th annual event in support of non-profit organizations.
The Human Race, sponsored by The Volunteer Center of Greensboro, Inc., advocates beating a range of causes from cancer to animal abuse to heart disease to illiteracy to hunger. It allows individuals, families, and businesses to work together raising money for a local non-profit of their choice. Community members come together to walk, run or roll the 5k route that begins and finishes at the Greensboro Coliseum.

Race Day Schedule:
9:00am: Gates Open
9:00-9:50am: Submit Donations, Walkers Line Up, Runner Registration/Check-in
9:50am: Opening Ceremony
10:00am: Race Start (runners followed by walkers)
10:30-11:45am: After Party/Awards Ceremony
12:00 pm: End of 2014 Human Race
Over 100 nonprofits are represented at The Human Race each year. More than 300 volunteers manage the event, which attracts about 5,000 participants. The After Party includes free food, live music, prizes and fun for the whole family! Plus, friendly leashed dogs are welcome!
The Human Race has made an invaluable impact on national and local non-profit organizations working to bring an end to widespread problems, including Adult Center for Enrichment, Bell House, Family Service of the Piedmont, Greensboro Urban Ministry, The Servant Center, and Victory Junction Gang Camp.
