Heartfelt Portraits finally delivers one bride's wedding photos after months of delays.
PINNACLE, NC -- You've heard the wedding day superstitions: something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue. And they say rain is supposed to bring good luck. So one bride thought the tornado 20 minutes from her venue - on her wedding day - was a sign of *REALLY* good luck. But when Jennifer Irick tried to get her wedding day photos from her professional photographer, she got caught in a real storm. So this frustrated bride turned to Call for Action for help.
"We could go put our outfits on. Take pictures. But it's not that moment," says Jennifer Irick. "You never get that moment back." A moment Jennifer was afraid she might only see in pictures taken by friends. "She was invited to be part of our family for that day and not to come through on something as important as this is just unthinkable."
The couple said "I do" September 2013. They paid $365 to Michelle Vickers Losardo of Heartfelt Portraits to capture the day. The contract promised pictures in 45 to 60 days. Jennifer waited the 60 days and contacted Michelle on November 21 through Facebook. But for the next two months, Jennifer says Michelle gave her excuses, not pictures. "She said her daughter's been sick, that a family member had a medical emergency. I was told I'd been mailed the CDs a couple of times. I asked for tracking numbers and then she would go silent for days, weeks at a time."
Two Wants to Know Call for Action called and emailed Michelle. No response. We learned she was living with her parents in Randolph County. We dug through tax records to find their names and found a way to email her dad. Within a couple of hours, Michelle emailed Call for Action back and five days later, Jennifer got two CDs of pictures.
We can't show you the pictures because Michelle and her company Heartfelt Portraits own the copyright…but here's how Jennifer describes them. "You totally lose a lot of the detail. You really can't see what's going on. It's absolutely horrible. "There's absolutely nothing that she gave me on my edited or unedited CD that even remotely looks like what she has on her website. Nothing."
Whether the pictures are good or bad is another issue. But Jennifer isn't the only bride who says Heartfelt Portraits has left her waiting for wedding photos. Call for Action is working with another bride who was supposed to get her pictures in the end of January. Losardo promised 2 Wants to Know she would have pictures to *this* bride by March 1, but she did not deliver this weekend. Losardo says she has closed her business...and we asked her if she wanted to come on t-v and explain for herself. Losardo said no.
Heartfelt Portraits has an F with the Better Business Bureau. The company has four complaints against it in the last few years.
