WASHINGTON D.C. -- The U.S. military announced Saturday evening it has conducted four more airstrikes on Islamic militants in Iraq.
According to the Associated Press, the airstrikes took out armored carriers and a truck that had been firing on civilians.
The U.S. Central Command said the strikes were spread apart. Three happened before noon EDT Saturday. The other happened at approximately 3 p.m.
The military said the airstrikes were reportedly successful in destroying the targets.
This is the U.S.'s third round of airstrikes against Islamic State forces since President Obama authorized the strikes.
