MIAMI – A 5-month-old baby is in stable condition after he was resuscitated on the busy Dolphin Expressway in Florida.
According to the Miami Herald, Pamela Rauseo was driving with her nephew Thursday afternoon when he stopped breathing. She jumped out of the car, holding the little boy, and began screaming for help.
The Herald reports, as the baby's face was turning blue, a driver left her car to help. Soon after, a Herald photographer a few cars behind went to help. He found a police officer who came over to perform CPR on the infant.
Miami Fire Rescue took the baby to the hospital.
The Herald says he was listed Thursday night in stable condition. Rauseo told the Herald the boy was born prematurely and has respiratory issues.
