MOORE, Okla. – Members of the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) abandoned a protest they held Sunday outside of a junior high school in Moore, Okla.
According to KFOR-TV, church members had a 30-minute permit to gather in front of the school, which is where students affected by last year's deadly tornado are attending school. KFOR says WBC believes God sent that tornado to punish the people of Moore.
After eight minutes into the protest, several Moore residents crossed the picket line to go after the church members, reports KFOR.
