NORTHGLENN (KUSA)- A small plane crashed into a Northglenn home Monday afternoon sparking a structure fire.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. near West 104th Avenue and Huron Street in Northglenn.

The pilot of the aircraft was able to walk away from the crash. Authorities say no one was home inside the house at the time of the crash. There were no other injuries.

The plane crashed into the back of the home. The aircraft appears to be on its side, with the left wing sticking out from the roof of the two-story home.

The view from Sky9 shows fire crews inside the house trying to put out the fire.

Although the crash is near Rocky Mountain Airport, officials with the airport said the plane did not take off or was scheduled to land.
